Director’s Biographies

Director Bios:

Laurie Little discovered her love for film and art in her native Quebec and in Toronto and is currently a Chicago based filmmaker, colorist, artist and educator. As the founder of the film production company Luminist Films, Little has been producing and directing award winning documentaries and short narratives, with screenings in festivals world wide. Little Is currently producing the Science Fiction Noir, A Distant Architect with writer/director Clara Alcott and is on the festival circuit with both Variations and with the short fiction film Cutout which completes a trilogy of short Chicago stories, produced with writer/director Mary Novak. Little teaches the class, Documenting Social Injustice at Columbia College Chicago and holds a B.F.A. from York University, and an M.F.A. from Columbia College Chicago.

Anuradha Rana is a filmmaker based in Chicago and faculty in Digital Cinema at DePaul University, Chicago. She came to discover her place in the filmmaking community through her varied experiences as a Journalist, TV Producer, Social Worker and Writer.  Anuradha enjoys a good story, whether it be fiction or non.   She has worked as Producer, Director, Cinematographer and Location Sound Mixer on films in India, Ecuador, Japan, South Africa and the U.S. that have focused on issues related to disability, gender concerns, education, health and the environment.
